Birthdays are very significant for people because it marks the beginning of their lives. It determines when they begin to enjoy the lovely things of life like the amazing people around them, the sweet delicacies in the world, and all the fun of the world.
Birthdays are always filled with wishes, gifts, and prayers from loved ones. Similarly, there are different birthday rituals for different people. For me, the ritual was to make a wish in front of the whole family as I blow out a single candle on my very small cake.
It is a different ball game for my friend, Cory. Cory had a different birthday ritual she experienced and another, she has planned out for her son. She saw an image in the New York Times Magazine and had a different idea of a birthday ritual.
Well, it was too late to practice this ritual for herself but she has decided to replicate the same birthday ritual for her son. The “new development” involves taking a photo of her son at the same spot at every birthday. Sounds cool, right?
You do not have to be a lover of digital photos or love to print them out. You may not even make an album from this new collection. Nevertheless, you can make your child stay in the same spot every year and take a shot.
You can keep the many pictures on the cloud and present him with a collection of them when he becomes a teenager. Just like Cory’s Child, you can have the following caption with the image of the year.
