The grocery store is the general name given to any shop, store, or even supermarket that is stacked with every basic item one needs in the family home. It’s the most vital of all infrastructures. This is because our day-to-day life revolves around the items we can only find in the grocery store.
From food items to toiletries to car parts to clothing, you name it! As long as it’s a basic need, you can find it there and therefore, it’s very important to always go to top quality grocery stores that’ll provide you with exactly what you need, the quality you need it, and at the price that won’t scare you away.
We were in Richmond, VA this week, and went to an amazing grocery store called Ellwood Thompson’s. We weren’t even out of the parking lot when we saw their rainwater collecting drum, and then the recycling area that even collects corks.
Once inside, besides being super impressed with their selection in the food and wine departments (side note–Virginia white wines are super impressive–we picked up some up here to bring home), we loved that they have a community room and tinctures in bulk. And that’s just what we caught at first glance.
Upon looking at their website, we learned that they also use solar energy, compost, and reward customers who walk or bike to the store.
If that was their way of trying to get more customers to shop with their grocery store, then it worked as it’s now our first choice store for all our groceries and convenient items. They have a good way of appealing to their customers and I think every other grocery store should emulate them too.
