
A Keto Frittata is a healthy, low calorie, low fat meal. It is basically a frittata made with vegetables and whole wheat flour. Although most people believe that frittatas are only for Italian cooking, they can actually be made with any type of ingredients. The main difference between making a traditional frittata and a Keto Frittata is the pan or baking tray used. Traditional frittatas use aluminum foil to prepare the frittata.
When I made my first attempt at a frittata I decided to try it with egg substitutes. I had some leftover from my last dinner so this was a great way to use that leftover. For this meal I chose to use quinoa, as it is very healthy. I didn’t have any cooked eggs so I decided to substitute with egg whites. Quinoa has a mild flavor when roasted, which works well with the egg substitute.
Once the egg substitute was prepared I adjusted the flavors to my liking. I used about one tablespoon of nutritional yeast and a tablespoon of garlic. I also increased the amount of vegetable servings in the frittata. This gave it a nice thick texture.
After baking the frittata, I took it outside to let it cool. I then cut into the frittata to find that it was very moist (but not liquid) from all of the vegetable pieces. The next thing I did was add a layer of cheese and bacon. By the time I took it out of the oven, it was delicious! The taste of this frittata was very much like the texture of actual cream cheese.

Another is because it is healthy. And the other reason is because there is very little preparation time.
