The smell and sight of cooked Turkey wrapped in juicy flavors and spices is one of the many pleasures of life! Baked, cooked, braised, grilled, or roasted — turkey is associated with happiness, festivities (think, thanksgiving turkey), and pure unadulterated delight. This protein is all shades of delicious and nutritious, and more than that, it is super versatile.
Chefs and home cooks have been inventing and re-inventing the taste of turkey. We’ve seen and tried so many recipes and just when you think it couldn’t get any better — another banging recipe pops out from the blue and wows your appetite. And speaking of recipes, my husband invented one last night and it was a HIT!
So here is the backstory; Necessity they say, is the mother of all invention, and they couldn’t have been more right. Last night, we were trying to get our daughter sold on a turkey burger, but we had no buns, except hot dog buns (which is a no-no). In a bid to provide a worthy alternative, my husband seasoned the turkey, rolled it into a log shape, and pan-fried it into a bit of butter, turning it regularly to ensure it browned on all sides. It was such a hit, that she requested it for lunch the next day. Try this simple recipe and tell us what you think. And don’t forget to check out the other amazing recipes on our blog.
