Frosting or Icing is a lovely, creamy, and sweet glaze which is used to coat your baked items. With sugar, water (milk for some), egg whites, butter, flavorings, and cream cheese, you can make your desired frosting. Sometimes, rather than only coat the baked item with frosting, you can choose to add them in as fillings.
However, you can make your frosting to satisfy your craving. There are always a lot of recipes you can choose from any time you want to bake that yummy cake or cupcake. Vanilla seems to be the commonest of all flavors. Well, the flavor is readily available in supermarkets.
Similarly, you can explore other recipes to know which one suits your taste more or pleases your craving at that time. For me, my first option is always red velvet. Of course, I love the red coloration it leaves on the mouth. Hilarious, right?
Well, red velvet is a great choice for me because of its yumminess, texture, and sweetness. Nevertheless, when it is not available, my next preferred choice is chocolate. It is chocolate because I have always been exposed to chocolate from when I was very little. I loved anything that had chocolate in it – chocolate bars, candies, cupcakes, cookies, etc. Just frost any with chocolate.
But you know what, there was a new recipe a friend introduced me to. It was like, I had never eaten any other flavor before all my life. The flavor was a cream cheese frosting recipe. The flavor does not require much ado to make it. With a few ingredients that you can easily purchase in supermarkets, you would have prepared your new favorite frosting.
This recipe is my newfound love and I am not quitting anytime soon.
