There are many dreams I want to fulfill in life and I have categorized them into different lists. My most important lists include “foods I want to taste,” and “places I want to visit.” Well, both dreams can cohabit because I do not expect the same types of food at different places. So, I would explore several places on my list around the world and enjoy the variety in the delicacies too.
In my sojourn to add more places and spice up my life, there is this great living history museum I came across. The museum is in Old World Wisconsin. Well, this is 35 miles away from Milwaukee and 75 miles away from Chicago. The museum has so many historical facts and you can reside at night at Camp Wandawega after a fun-filled day.
I was so pleased with the amazing history museum that I had to add it to my “places I want to visit” list. As it stands, no other living history museum in the US is larger than Old World Wisconsin. However, I was beyond astonishment when I found out that they have vintage vase ball games.
You can play real games in this museum and even understand how they played the baseball games in the 1800s. Being a baseball lover, the living history museum resonates substantially with me. Fascinatingly, they addressed their umpires as Sirs, players are referred to as “ballists” and fans are known as “cranks”.
The Old Wisconsin living history museum is a connection that brings the oldies’ world into the newbies’ baseball world. There is a lot of artifacts to learn about the great history of the game. Also, you can enjoy some acting of the game being played but in “black and white.”
