As your baby grows into a toddler and beyond, there are so many ways he or she becomes more and more independent. You’ll love seeing all of these exciting development milestones come and go, but one, in particular, might require a fair bit of your attention.
We’re talking about when your child goes from diapers to being fully potty trained. And this could prove to be not so easy to train so you have to take care to do it right. The first step in doing this is getting them their potty and also a place where they can potty train in peace.
One idea is to get them a hut made out of cardboard paper. It’s just like getting them a personal toilet but more child-like. This helps them get used to pottying training faster and if you have a kid who loves a bit of adventure, it’ll look like a sturdy forte where business is taken care of.
Okay, so maybe having a cardboard hut to put your kid’s potty inside is a little weird. But somehow, since it looks good (it’s French, of course, it’s chic), I like the idea. Maybe your kid will like the privacy? Or maybe they’ll be excited to be able to say “poopoohut”. Regardless, when they’re through with it, it will make a nice rocket ship. You can order one from Pirouette Cacahouete.
In doing so, you’re creating for them, a personal space, their kingdom if you might add. They feel comfortable in it and won’t have to feel much pressure of doing big kids’ stuff anymore. It’s also a good way of taking away the fear of using the toilet themselves.
While your child uses the potty, you could play with some jingles, or give or read them a book about going to the potty. All these help make it a wonderful experience for the kid.
