When my friend Cory came over the other day, she whipped out this diaper pad carryall from Skip Hop. Though my kid has been out of diapers for years, I still got excited when she showed me all of the compartments for the diapers, creams, and wipes. Cory says a lot of people use the Skip Hop “Pronto! Changing Station“, but if you don’t own it, you should. Plus, it drops right into a regular bag (albeit a big-ish one), which means you can ditch that cumbersome diaper bag! More to the point, Cory, who is the most conscientious researcher I know, says it’s the best.

When my son was still in diapers, I had a Skip Hop diaper bag and it was the best! It was just the right size for me (not too big, not too small), had lots of compartments to keep things organized, and even looked fairly stylish. Came in lots of colors too, and was not horribly expensive. And was sturdy – still looks like new after carrying it everywhere for 3 years. Can’t say enough about that company, I recommend them to all my new-mom friends!

I also have a Skip Hop diaper bag in black and it is the best! I agree, it has tons of compartments to keep things organized, with plenty room for your wallet, phone, keys, gloss etc.. The price is perfect and feel I will have for many years! New moms, this is the bag for you!

It’s also gender neutral unlike so many other diaper bags/accessories so dads can wear it without feeling like they’re carrying a purse…

We got one a few weeks ago and I can’t wait to use it (I’m at 37 weeks).

  5. I love that things keep getter, smaller, smarter and sleeker the older my kids get. But I gotta say, the best diaper bag ever is the one I used for my third; an oversized Hobo wallet, just big enough for a diaper and a snack bag of wipes showed in amongst cash, credit cards, lip gloss and errant pennies. I never needed anything more. By the zillionth diaper I think we all learn diaper survival skills and can change a diaper hygienically using monkey smarts, kids clothing, toilet seat covers, paper towel, car hoods and trunks, etc. Eventually all the accoutrement just gets in the way of model efficiency.
