Check out Judith Warner’s piece in the New York Times Magazine: Instead of “taking flight” by going to work, as many women did in the 70s, women entering middle age today, Warner writes, are taking a different kind of flight: An inward flight to yoga and domestic order as an attempt “to transcend her anxious perfectionism by being more perfect herself.” Does this ring true?
