We’re big fans of Loeffler Randall shoes and of president and creative director, Jessie Randall, who also happens to be a mother of three. Lucky for us, she took some very valuable minutes to talk to us about how she pulls herself together.
“This winter just will not end. I’ve needed something really warm to wear but haven’t wanted to wear the ubiquitous black puffer coat around. I found this amazing super thin Patagonia hooded down jacket that I wear underneath other coats. It keeps me warm and allows me to wear the jackets I like on top, like this really old J. Crew army coat. I’ve been wearing a cuoio leather belt around my jacket to cinch it and give it a bit of polish. With three kids, I live in slip on shoes. I wear my Loeffler Randall Riley over the knee flat boots all the time because they look cool and put together but are very comfortable and you can push a stroller a mile in them. The best part is I can put them on without bending down—while carrying a baby.”
“I don’t want to sacrifice my sense of style just because I am out on the playground. I wear a lot of easy, comfortable pieces that I can layer from brands like T by Alexander Wang, James Perse, American Apparel, etc. Most important are a really great coat and nice shoes that look cool but are also functional. I do a lot of walking as a mom in Park Slope so clogs or pull on boots are key.”
