I used to wear Converse (high and low tops) into the ground when I was in college; I seem to remember them as that not-so-clean sneaker that I slipped my bare (and perhaps black-souled) feet into. Nowadays I think of them as kid sneakers. On a recent trip to London, however, I admired several moms who were rocking the Converse with jeans and a blazer look. Just the right balance of comfort and cool, they make you feel hip—without making it look like you are trying too hard.

When you do get rid of your sneakers, consider sending them to Shoes 4 Africa.

After seeing this I went online to replace my aging white pair. If this mom in London is still wearing them than it’s worth getting a new one :)

I love my TOMS! They have the hip/casual of Converse, but more stylish and gotta love their social conscience (and all those colors)!

I have been rocking that look all winter with the addition of a soft grey jcrew turtleneck.

I buy grey chucks one half size too large and fit dr. Schoolls inserts into gem for arch support.

Is it just ME who loves that bag?? Any idea what brand it is or where I could find one??

Hi Annica, I am obsessed with that bag, and it is from Japan-from Porter. And I think they don’t make it anymore. I liked it so much I took pictures from all angles hoping I could find someone to copy it for me. I’ll let you know if I get that far.
