Former Cookie beauty editor Jennie Tung (who also writes for Momfilter) always has some new item or trick that I immediately copy. In this case it is her effortlessly chic up’do, which is a tussled tucked under pony and a cheap drugstore sequined headband from Goody. The sequins are just the right girly addition to her otherwise simple skinny-leg jean and jacket look. Granted she is a beauty with a very shiny, healthy mane, but swore that her hair was not only dirty but also in need of a root touch-up. She said that she teased it a bit in the back and left it deliberately puffed up and without a part so that you couldn’t see the grey. To me it seemed polished enough for work or dinner out and like some–but not too much–effort had been put into it.
