Reading glasses. Yup, like clockwork, I found it difficult to read some of the fine print on the kids’ toy manuals once I turned 40. I have been meaning to buy a pair but didn’t want to go the drugstore/grandma route, nor spend a fortune buying some designer brand (like $200 reading glasses at Alain Mikli).

Just found out there is a world of fun, affordable and very cool reading glass companies out there. Makes it feel more of a fashion accessory than a tell-tale sign of aging.

NVU eyewear for the under $20 range

A.J. Morgan eyewear for the $30 range

And my fave eye bobs:  $75 (the director of MOMA wears “Peckerhead”, and the ones pictured above are called Lil’ Pecker).

I agree, it is so hard to find good ones. I came across some great ones at Anthropologie.
