Once it hits days that are consistently above 80 degrees, I put away any heavy leather purse, and only want to carry something lightweight–usually that means in cotton. So when I saw our friend Jennifer’s navy and white polka-dotted bag from Baggu, I fell in love with it. It’s great because it isn’t a tote–it feels like a purse (has short handles, but also a shoulder strap). They have recently changed their colors, so now they do this bag in a more royal blue. If you’re like me and would prefer a darker bag (which look good longer, since a cotton bag can look dirty and therefore shabby pretty fast–and you don’t want to have to wash your bag regularly), there is a solid black version. But I also like the sailor stripe. They also have many bright options, including a neon yellow. At $26 a pop, you could spring for two to have in rotation. If you’re into rotating your bags, here is my solution to not forgetting something in another bag.
P.S. It would also be a great bag to bring on vacation–I often have my one huge purse I throw everything into, but at night I don’t want to bring that out. This would be perfect to just throw in a suitcase, and have for such occasions.
