the good table

Yesterday I discovered the British cookbook The Good Table by Valentine Warner. And although I haven’t cooked out of it, it’s so inspiring, I think it’s going to be our new favorite. I’ve already ordered multiples of it as presents for all of my difficult-to-shop-for friends. And it’s not just mushy peas and shepherd’s pies…there are sections like “Toast as a Vehicle” with my favorite in there being broccoli and fried egg. Yes, it comes from Amazon in the UK, but I’ve always been surprised at how inexpensive the shipping is, and you are getting a book that hasn’t been released in the States, so it’s a pretty sure bet your friends won’t know about it.

Thanks for the recommendation. It sounds interesting! I love a good inspiring cookbook. Does it contain photos or is it all text?
