Spinach is in and out of favor in my house. It just so happens to be in rotation at the moment, which means I am taking full advantage by steaming a big bunch at a time so I have it on hand for eggs, pasta sauce, soups, etc. The fine chop is also key: It’s often not so much that kids don’t like spinach, it’s the big slimey leaves that they object to.

    My kids love when we use spinach to make Green Eggs and Ham, but they also love green smoothies. They think the color is awesome, and they can’t really taste the spinach!

    I just made spinach for the toddler. A dressing of sesame oil, mirin, rice vinegar and soy sauce did the trick!
