The Australians seem to have the best knack for making salads—they put in such a surprising mix of things that are always so good, and so colorful. This weekend our friend Emma made this perfect salad with watermelon, avocado, arugula, and toasted sliced almonds on top. In this period before we have an abundance to choose from in the market, this is a great salad for the repertoire.
