We saw this at a restaurant in Red Hook, Brooklyn and wanted to copy it immediately–a Weck canning jar as sugar container. I’m not sure why I never thought to get a sugar dish with a cover. I guess it’s a hold over from the previous generation’s idea of tea or coffee service, but the last thing I need to be doing is decanting sugar only to have to put it back in the sugar jar, or worse, a box or bag. You want it in a smaller vessel, but you don’t want to leave it open. Love it.
