At a birthday party my son attended, the mom served vegetables in such a cute and clever way: she put a slice of carrot, celery, and red pepper into a small clear plastic cup that had a dollop of salad dressing at the bottom. (Hummus would work, too.) Mess-free, easy to serve, and laid out on a bright blue tray the display looked really inviting. I’m stealing this idea for the next party we have.

  1. This is a great idea! I’ve seen something similar with hummus but I love the use of salad dressing here.

Love this idea! Beyond birthday parties, it’s great for playdates! My kids love tzatziki at the moment – it would work beautifully.

Oh I love tzatziki, too. I think any combo of not too drippy dip/dressing with any veggie your kid likes would be great.
