For some reason, I always forget about dessert. Yolanda first showed us this dessert trick: assorted nuts, dried fruit, and whatever dregs of a chocolate bar you have left. We like to scatter these goodies on old bread boards instead of platters. It’s chic and minimal and more than satisfies an after-dinner bite of something sweet.

  1. You know what’s great and quick too? Melt that chocolate and toss in the nuts & fruit, then stick it in the fridge to harden. You get a righteous good “chocolate bark.” (Even better if you toast the nuts first for 5 minutes in the toaster oven and feel free to sprinkle a touch of fleur de sel into the mix.)
