Frances Boswell, a former food writer and editor, co-wrote Food Adventures with her mother-in-law, Elisabeth Luard, back in 2006. It’s one of those books that I find something new in every time I pull it off the shelf. I’m partial to the “first aid” section, where they give great recipes for foods that help with everything from colds to constipation. I also love the playful approach throughout the book, which is clever, but not saccharine.

These days Frances is an acupuncturist in NYC, and blogs for Whole Living Magazine.

  1. AWESOME! I love cookbooks aimed for families and kids — can’t wait to check this out! Note: this is bad news for my already too-many-cookbooks-collection.
