“I have three girls all under six with three different personalities, opinions and taste buds. Georgia is your bread and butter type, Charley Mae is your caviar and salad Nicoise, and Dixie who is almost 2, well, condiments this week. My husband grew up in a kitchen and his mother writes cookbooks, so every meal is at least 15 ingredients, if not just seasonings fresh and chopped finely. This makes it challenging to do anything recognizable or outstanding. So I stand back and never show off.
But on this day, after school snack time has been challenging lately and I needed a fresh idea, it came organically
and it was a hit. Seaweed, avocado, cucumber, sticky brown rice, and ginger—on the plate for them to assemble themselves.
