Last year a few days before Mother’s Day, I was talking with a few moms about their plans for that day when everyone (a.k.a. spouse) is supposed to do everything perfectly. One mom, rather conspiratorially, admitted that she hated breakfast in bed. One by one, the others chimed in. The complaints ranged from the maple syrup that invariable gets all over the sheets, to the menu, which, let’s face it, usually isn’t mom’s fave. This year, however, I actually got the breakfast I wanted. Not pancakes or waffles, but a lovely bowl of berries with Greek yogurt and honey, and some granola. Pass this along to whomever is overseeing breakfast in bed prep.
