Baby

1st picture book

We’ve been in love with The First Picture Book for a long time now. When we were first conceiving of Cookie, it was one of the first items on our inspiration board. First published in 1930, the images taken by the great Edward Steichen are shockingly modern. Still relatively unknown, we always pick up a few when we find them so we can have several on hand for friends with new babies. Luckily you can find the 1991 reissued edition new from the ICP bookstore online for $18.

  1. The essential thing for all of you is to have someone by your side who will supply you the support you want, be it husband, friend, parents or a pregnancy care center. Even though it would be ideal to be surrounded by all of the people you love throughout your pregnancy, receiving comfort and support from the baby’s father, the cruel reality is that nowadays there are several single pregnant women and they deserve all of the support they can get.
