I saw this fantastic pouf at my friend Stephanie’s house. I was sure it would be way out of my budget until she told me where it (and her incredibly cool waste bin) came from—the Spiral Foundation, an organization that promotes craftspeople and artisans in developing countries by providing financial, technical, and managerial aid.  Everything—bins, napkin rings, ornaments, meditation cushions, bowls—is made in small villages in Vietnam and Nepal from recycled materials that comes from the cities. And nothing is super expensive. I’m partial to whatever they do in silver. It’s s a great site to bookmark–perfect for gifts. Think clementines in one of those bowls. And with a nice back story.

I’ve been wanting a pouf! That sounds so silly to say…but I do love them. I don’t love their price tag. Going to check these out! Thanks!
