At Home

I was in one of the most elegant antique stores I’ve ever been in, owned by the chicest French woman. There were lit scented candles (with no label on them) throughout the store, and it smelled amazing. I saw a boxed candle from Cire Truedon, which I know are outrageously priced, so I asked her if these candles were from Cire Trudon. “No, to tell you the truth, my secret is I buy all my candles from Ikea. Only the vanilla. And they last a really long time.”

They are $1.99 from Ikea. Pretty good if you compare it to the Cire Trudon ones which run around $80.

“pretty good” tee-hee. I once used those in in a tower of treats for the staff at my kids’ elementary. They really are nice. Back then the cylinder jar was very clean lined with frosted stripes, bonus.
