At Home

Just because you are a new parent doesn’t mean all your good design taste has to go out the window.

Choosing great looking kids’ toys that may have to live out in the open can be a challenge, particularly if you do not have the luxury of spaces dedicated solely for kid play. Big plastic ugly stuff is and was a no-no in our house. Even though Clara is out of the rocking horse phase I am still tempted by this Hilla Shamia designed horse. It is beautiful, recycled and functional, and an object that just looks good, regardless of its purpose. That means it would never make it to the curb even when its users are too big. And that is a good thing for anyone who is concerned about how disposable we have become.
